Earth Hub

Background

Earth Hub is set to become a vital nexus, uniting the myriad of outstanding environmental initiatives across Northern Ireland. Its mission is to make these efforts more accessible, not only to those already engaged in environmental action but crucially, to a diverse range of new local audiences.

Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful entrusted us with the task of creating a comprehensive brand identity. This included developing a suite of logo options, wordmarks, icons, colour palettes, illustrations, and brand guidelines.

Our Approach

The discovery phase of this project involved workshopping with the Earth Hub team to uncover their sentiments toward different aspects of the brand. Our discussions spanned brand personality, typographic inspiration, colour schemes, and illustrative styles. This collaborative ethos extended to our studio team, who worked collectively to provide a range of options, iterating and communicating closely with the Earth Hub team to arrive at the most fitting solution.

To empower Earth Hub in building a strong, recognisable brand, we developed the innovative 'Earth & Moon Device' – a versatile asset designed to adapt to its surroundings. This fully scalable element can hold or overlay key art and photography, functioning effectively in both positive and negative space.

The culmination of our efforts is a comprehensive set of brand guidelines, meticulously crafted to enable Earth Hub to communicate effectively when they launch in 2025.

Results

By focusing on a user-centric experience, we worked working to ensure that Earth Hub's digital presence will be as engaging and effective as their on-the-ground environmental initiatives.

This project represents more than just branding; it's about creating a visual language that will help Earth Hub inspire and mobilise communities across Northern Ireland towards positive environmental action.
