Stepping Stones

‘We Make More Possible’ brand-led campaign

Background

MXB was appointed to develop a brand-led campaign for Stepping Stones NI, a leading Charity organisation providing training, employment, and development opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. The brief required a clear, sensitive, and compelling proposition to engage the parents and carers of young people with learning disabilities at a key transition point from education. Our campaign would position Stepping Stones as a credible, supportive, and empowering place where young people could look to a positive future with new possibilities.

Our Approach

Our role encompassed brand strategy, creative platform development and delivery of an integrated campaign designed to clearly communicate the real-world impact of Stepping Stones. Central to the work was the development of the creative platform “We make more possible”, a unifying proposition grounded in observation and truth of the daily lived experience within Stepping Stones’ social enterprises.

Rather than focusing on service descriptions, the campaign was designed to portray, through honest unfiltered emotion, the difference Stepping Stones makes through everyday moments of learning, support, and shared purpose. This included communicating how independence is built gradually through consistent support, how confidence grows through meaningful work, and how friendship and belonging develop naturally in safe, structured environments.

These themes were deliberately chosen to help parents and carers understand not only what Stepping Stones offers, but how it supports long-term personal development.

Results

We could talk numbers here but societal impact is the real measure of this campaign and here’s what is will really deliver:

-New prospects and horizons for young people with learning disabilities who can become marginalised post education.

-Driving social inclusion in the workplace.

-Encouraging a world that respects diversity and embraces the possibility of every person.
